Fall is right around the corner, which means a busy time for many photographers, such as myself. Many high school seniors decide that this is the perfect time for them to have their senior year photoshoot scheduled for. The fall colors and bright tones in the background can be perfect for these special senior year pictures.
So here are some fall outfit ideas that you can dive into. When narrowing down what clothes you want to wear, it is always best to remember how you feel when wearing a look, your comfort, and your ability to move / pose in your outfits. These are the main things that will make you look good.
I like to think that fall is the perfect time to show off how good you look with autumn tones in your wardrobe. Today I will go through the best things you can wear for your fall senior session photo shoot (for all you senior ladies out there). Let's get to it.
1. Cute Jackets or Coats
I can't even begin to express how much I love a good jacket. It can add so much to the pictures with that extra texture. The jacket will give you an extra layer to pose with and looks super cute.
One of the best (and my personal favorite) ways to style with a jacket is by wearing a fitted or tailored outfit underneath. Whether it's a skirt and top, a fitted dress, jeans, and a tee-shirt, it's all up to you. The contrast will look great in the pictures. And you don't have to stick with a typical jacket or coat. Try different colors, different sizes, and different lengths and choose what looks the best on you.
2. Sweaters
Don't you love sweater weather? Me too! Let's take advantage of that. I personally love a good sweater look in senior photo sessions.
If it's a chunky sweater, you can pull it over your chin and look so cozy. You can stick with a fuzzy oversized sweater with fitted pants or flowy skirts. It all depends on how you dress it up. If you are wearing something oversized, make sure to wear something fitted or tailored looking with it to add dimension.
3. Turtlenecks
I know I just talked about sweaters, but turtlenecks in fall deserve a whole separate section. I think fall is the perfect time to rock a turtleneck. Pair it with a fitted skirt, stockings, and a trench coat, and there you go! You got a bomb outfit.
Other than that, all you have to think about is not to overlayer so much that you get too hot or have trouble with walking or moving naturally. Pick beautiful fall hues and tones to bedazzle your look with. If you get that right, you are ready to go!
