Hello high school juniors! You have almost made it through your junior year and may want to start thinking about what adventures are in store for your senior year! Yay!
As senior year approaches, you need to think about scheduling your senior photoshoot to ensure a time that works best for you. It is important that you think about which season or month to have your senior photo session. Read on for a few things to consider when deciding the best time to have your senior pictures captured.
Spring
Spring starts in March and goes through May. Spring provides one of the best times for good weather and awesome backgrounds for your senior pictures. Spring is a beautiful time when flowers blossom, backgrounds glow, and everything looks new and fresh. This is one of my most favorite times of the year for outdoor portraits.
Summer
Summer begins in June and lasts through August. It is also a great time to have a senior photoshoot. During summer, the air is warm, the days last forever, great natural light is abundantly available, and family schedules are usually more flexible. Thus, I can easily take sun-filled photos that bring everything to life. Besides, the warm weather allows you to wear cute summer dresses or clothes that allow you to show off your amazing tan. Yay!
Fall
Fall is my favorite season and the perfect time to have your senior pictures taken. Lasting from September to November, it is a popular season due to its dazzling autumn colors, cooler temperatures, and fantastic a golden hour each day of perfect natural lighting for photos.
Winter
December marks the beginning of winter and February marks its end. Winter is a tough time for outdoor senior pictures because it is cold, the leaves on the trees have disappeared, and the natural light is harsh and gone quickly from the day. I really don’t recommend this time of year for outdoor senior portraits.
