Ready to have the wind blow back your hair? Here are three innovative and fresh ideas to up-level your next creative photoshoot.
1. Shoot Through Objects
A foreground is created when you shoot through something. Foregrounds are useful for outlining subjects and adding depth to photographs. They also offer texture to your photo and might be a bright complement. You can shoot through objects in two ways: partially or completely.
- When you shoot partially, the object covers a portion of your lens. A hand is can be used for slightly blocking the lens to produce a fuzzy dark effect.
- An object will hide your entire lens if you shoot directly. The object must be somewhat transparent for this to work.
You can use different objects for this purpose:
- Glass
- Piece of fabric
- Flowers or plants
You can be quite artistic with this theme, playing with various objects and materials to produce very interesting visuals.
I love incorporating foreground elements into my portraits. Try it and get ready to become addicted to this creative outlet when next using your camera.
2. Keep An Eye Out For Reflections
We are surrounded by reflections. We don't always observe them or incorporate them on purpose in our images.
- Look for reflections and structure your photos such that they look prominent.
- Experiment with different photographs that have little or no background for the reflection
- Make an ideal angle from which to take your images. Take several photos, each from a little fresh angle.
- Give much importance to where the color affects your pictures when photographing reflections of objects on a colored surface.
In creative photography, you can use reflections to your benefit. Water can be a great source of reflection. A reflection in the water can help to enhance a photograph's composition. I suggest you go to a beautiful lake and photograph the water's reflections (great with fall leaves changing color). You can also use pools or puddles. Have fun!
Reflections can be found in the following:
- Pools and lakes
- Crystal clear glass
- Glossy metal
You might even love to try photographing reflections at sunset or nighttime.
3. Amusing Action Pictures of Your Pet
One of my favorite picture shoot concepts is this one. Pets make excellent photographic subjects. For starters, they're adorable. Including your pet in your photograph adds energy and character to the image.
- Continuous Shooting Mode is a useful function found in many cameras. Sports Mode or Burst Mode is other names for the same thing. Continuous Shooting Mode is an excellent approach to get hilarious images in a wide range of circumstances.
- Photograph your pet while he or she is enjoying roaming around.
- Make sure that you shoot your pictures in good light so you can try some different options. To keep your photographs clear, use a quick shutter speed.
Pet photoshoots, on the other hand, are nearly always promised to provide the most amusing outcomes. Ready to have curtness overload?
