Every person wishes to look great in photos. One notion that people sometimes have is that they must posses model talent or dress expensively to look good in photos. Not true.
The good news is that by following a few photography tips, anyone can become instantly more photogenic.
Here are a few great ideas to follow the next time you are striking pose for a picture:
1. Add Small Details to Your Photo
Have you ever noticed that candid pictures can create images that turn out to be the best?
Be creative and add small details when taking photos. You can hold a cup of coffee, pretend that you are reading a book, or just snuggle with your dog. This gives you something to "do" while getting a great candid shot of you living your best life.
2. Smile
Smiling genuinely brings out the best in everyone. Avoid the popular "cheese" smile as it is is too over-the-top in pictures.
Instead, go for a natural and authentic smile. Think of something that humors you, and before you know it, a genuine smile is easier to obtain.
3. Pay Attention to Your Appearance
All you need to do are a few basics.
Wear solid colors.
(As seen a laundry room) Irony. The opposite of wrinkly. (Yes, this made me chuckle).
Choose a well put together outfit.
Fix your hair and makeup for a fresh and nice look.
In short: try to make sure that your hair is well kempt, clothes aren’t wrinkled, and makeup is spot on. Basically, you just want to look well groomed.
4. The Eyes Have It
When taking a photo, try to have the eye contact with the camera lens. You want to look directly at the camera to have more of a connection with your viewers. Or, you can look off to the side, intentionally, to add some dramatic flair to the image.
