Being a high school or college senior is amazing. I remember having the time of my life during high school and college. This is why it is important that you capture pictures to remember the moments when you grow older.
You might not understand it now. However, you will realize what a good idea it was once you graduate and start working. To help you capture such an important time in your life, I want to share some of my favorite high school or college senior/graduation photo shoot ideas. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive in.
1. The Classic Graduation Shot
One of the best high school or college senior photo shoot ideas that you should consider is the classic graduation shot. It only requires you to wear your graduation gown and cap. You can even hold your diploma with pride. Besides, you should be pleased of having made it this far. Since a senior portrait session will not be as formal as the yearbook photography session, you can strike any type of pose you want and add lots of fun.
2. Toss Confetti
Confetti is a symbol of celebration. Hence, you should use confetti for your photo shoot. Graduating from high school calls for a huge celebration.
Better yet, have your photographer add digital confetti in Photoshop to your pics as it is a lot cleaner and better for the environment. There is no better way to celebrate it than by “throwing” some digital confetti to set the right mood. Besides, a touch of sparkle and color translates well in pictures.
3. Think Freedom
Having completed high school or college is a huge milestone in life and a step in becoming a grown-up. Even though it might mean something different for everyone, freedom is guaranteed. Therefore, you should strike a pose that embodies some independence. You could jump for joy or even just stand tall with a look of confidence to capture your spirit of freedom.
4. Include Your Sibling(s)
If you have siblings, you should have a senior photo shoot that includes them in a few pictures. Besides, they deserve to be a part of the celebration since they are likely to have supported you over the years (and vice-versa) in some way.
The relationship between siblings is always special. You love them and they love you no matter what which is why a picture with them is an absolute must.
Likewise, parents will be delighted to have a few photos of their kids together. Make your mom happy!
5. Daydreaming
Your future is unlimited (thank you Wicked). I am not afraid of admitting that I daydream quite a lot. I have found that it is a great way to set better goals for myself. If you are someone who likes to daydream you can capture it in action. Look up to the sky for the a few photos and think of the endless possibilities. Try to even defy gravity (again, thank you Wicked) and remember that sky is the limit!
6. The BFF
If you have a BFF whom you cherish and have shared most of your time with, it is important that you have a few senior photos with them.
It will also turn out to be super fun as you already feel comfortable around them, will have tons of inside jokes to giggle at, and will be able to do silly things together.
